Link Up – Reducing Unintended Pregnancies, HIV Transmission, and HIV-Related Maternal Mortality among Young People

Objectives/Goals:
The Link Up project aimed to reduce unintended pregnancies, HIV transmission, and HIV-related maternal mortality among young people aged 10–24 affected by HIV in five countries (Bangladesh, Burundi, Myanmar, Uganda, and Ethiopia). The project focused on increasing access to integrated sexual and reproductive health services.
Key Activities/Results:
- Provided integrated maternal health, family planning, and HIV services in five countries.
- Collected and validated data on service uptake, tracked through a centralized management system (SyrEx).
- Trained local staff in monitoring and evaluation to ensure smooth data collection and reporting.
- Collaborated with Population Council to conduct research and document lessons learned for future interventions.
- Reached thousands of young people with comprehensive sexual and reproductive health services.
